I am Mark Colclough, MA, a psychotherapist and couples therapist. I have practised since October 2004. TherapyMark is the online part of my work, offering conversations in English for people seeking help with emotions, personal patterns and relationships.
I want you to know who you will be speaking with before you decide to begin.
I completed a Master of Arts in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy with Merit in 2011 through the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust and the University of East London. My professional training has taken place in England and Denmark.
My work also draws on integral psychotherapy, gestalt therapy, Jungian ideas, object relations and attachment theory. I have further training in emotions-focused couples work and continue to develop my practice through training and supervision.
We stay close to your experience. I listen, ask questions and offer an understanding that you can question or correct. We connect feelings and personal meaning with the choices you face in daily life.
I do not expect a perfect explanation of your problem. We can discover a starting point together and review whether the work is helping.
I was born in England and moved to Denmark when I was 12. I know both languages and cultures from within, and I have lived and worked in nine countries.
That experience helps me appreciate the pressure of living between places. It does not tell me what your background means to you. We make space for your own account of belonging, difference and relationships.
My own experience of personal therapy matters to the way I work. Being a client has taught me something about the courage it takes to speak, the importance of trust and the need to move at a pace that makes the work possible.
Online work needs privacy, reliable communication and a clear agreement. We discuss where you are based, the support you need and whether meeting by video is suitable before arranging a session.
Explore online psychotherapy or online couples therapy.
You are welcome to ask about the kind of support you need.
Tell me where you are based and your time zone. We can then consider whether online sessions together are suitable.
